These stunning cake doilies with bluebirds and flower bouquet design were beautifully hand embroidered into great quality natural off-white linen. A pretty crocheted cotton lace border was added in a variegated blue colour as a finishing touch.
These charming doilies were traditionally created by women in Australia before, during or after the second world war for their "glory box" that contained mostly hand embroidered linen for their wedding and married life.
Measuring about 24 cm (9.5") square.
Condition: Vintage doilies in very good condition. Clean and ready to be used. Both are included in the price.
