Antique Edwardian silk walking suit. The style of this suit is reminiscent of those worn by Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) in Titanic. The jacket is in excellent condition for its age, with tearing on one of the cuffs (see photos). The knee-length jacket has two open curved side slits, a sewn-in pleated collar, embroidered side panels, and cloth-covered button detail along the form-fitting waffle stitching panel above the hips in the back. It is fully lined in a contrasting light blue and off-white grid pattern with yellow circular (sunburst-like) detail silk fabric (lining is in excellent condition).
The matching skirt has a back eye and hook closure. The hem is adorned with sewn-in horizontal pleats and a ruffle hemline. The skirt is in fragile condition with shattering in the front and back (see photos)
