Beautiful Shimmery and Flowing Necklace and Earrings made by Avon-Saudi Arabia-sid-39494

This elegant, delicate, and sexy set was purchased by my friend when she lived in Saudi Arabia. Upon further inspecting the jewelry to get ready to sell it, we noticed that it was marked "Avon" and "925". This warranted further investigation as to if Avon was being sold in Saudi Arabia. Upon doing further research, it was discovered that "Avon Beauty Arabia" is a joint venture between Avon and the Binzagr Family. It has been operating in the country for over 39 years! According to this source, "Avon has over 13,000 fans in 13 regions across Saudi Arabia, and they have created jobs for women in that country for many years. The company has also strived to support Saudi women's development in the labor market". My friend bought this unique set in 1983. It is marked "925" (for sterling) but the necklace chain is gold colored, and the tiny dangly chains are silver and gold colored. It is likely that the base metal of the chain(s) is sterling silver, and the gold has been plated or otherwise applied over the base metal of the chain(s). This is a stunning, one of a kind piece that will turn heads! A great summer piece to compliment your tan! (The necklace has an extender at the clasp and is 11" long at the end of the extender. It can be adjusted to a shorter length). Just a final note that the strands may be tangled when you take them out of the package but are easily untangled!
